Google Ads Check List – New Campaign

Here is an outline of the steps to plan a google ad campaign:

1) Decide on the marketing topic (selling a product, informing of an event, specific information, selling a service, etc)

1A) Decide on conversion metrics (if any) – Page View, filling in a form, clicking on a link, etc

2) Location:  Ads can be location targeted:  All of USA, all of a state, specific counties, specific regions, etc

3) Generate keyword phrases using the Google Keyword Planner

4) Select Desired Keywords for the Campaign

5) Run the projected campaign metrics – cost estimates, click estimates, conversion estimates, etc

6) Create the Campaign with the keyword list

7)  Decide on the page(s) to be linked with the Ads

8) Create at least two Ads using the ad builder

8A) – Dynamic Ads include up to 4 headlines, and approx 10-12 buy lines

9) Enter daily maximum (IMPORTANT) and daily max bid (optional)

10) Run the campaign, monitor daily for the first two weeks, adjust as needed.
